We filled the arena with a group of wonderful ladies who are striving to be a better teammate for their horses. By raising awareness of our own imbalance and tension, we can recognize the same in our horses. Creating a sense of understanding allows us to move in a practise of improvement, little by little creating a partnership between horse and human that is successful!

Well, today I am sharing some news that will mark one of my biggest business expansion phases yet! As of October 1st, Miracle Mile Equine Center and Wigston Farms will become partners! Pulling together to create a team, a support system and a network of possibilities! We have been workin...g on the details of this for some time now and we cant wait to invite you into this phase with us! I am so very grateful for the clients to have supported this program from day one, through therapy and training. Because of this committment, MMEC has grown much faster than originally anticipated! Everyone say hi to Jewel! Jewel is the 6th member of the MMEC family who are all currently with us, that originally came from Gabob Appaloosas! Bob and Gayle run a wonderful breeding operation, raising good minded Appaloosas! (They're pretty cute too!) Most of these horses turn into excellent youth and non pro horses, both in and out of the show pen they are kind and honest. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to work with these great horses! Do we love these ...offspring?! Absolutley!! As always, thank you for choosing Miracle Mile Equine Center!

"Everything in life has to have balance." - Donna Karan Sundays are a day of rest around here, it's my day off and the horses day off. The horses get cookies and extra scratches, they work hard all week for myself and their owners. They deserve to sleep in just as much as we do. Taking the time to allow relaxation and promote overall mental and physical wellbeing will always pay off... for horse and human! And because a freshly narrowed arena makes my heart happy, we do that on sundays too!

Last weekend a crew of MMEC horses and riders loaded up and headed to our one and only Appaloosa show, COVID friendly of course. The Wild Rose Appaloosa Show was our first chance to work as a team in a show setting! What a great experience! Thank you to those who have chosen to support this program, your success is obvious! Congratulations to Ava Fried who won Reserve High Point Youth, with her gelding Charlys Lil Blessing, affectionately nicknamed "Snuggles" Congratula...tions to Shayleen Sawchuk on your Reserve High Point Non Pro win, with Cowboy Up Mr. This gelding jogged around the pleasure pen for the first time! Shelby Sawchuk and KJ Terrific Asset had some great rides winning a couple all around class championships! Swift Blonde Daenerys, shown by Stephanie herself, made her debut in the ranch classes! Dee handled herself like a seasoned show horse for many first time experiences. Her future is very bright! Found this wonderful sign right beside the show arena and couldn't agree more! It's so nice to be back at a horse show! COVID may have brought on a whole new normal, but that is no excuse to quit, downgrade or lose focus!

I'm not sorry...

Sometimes running a business is challenging and tiring, both physically and emotionally. But seeing the smile on this wonderful owners face sitting proud on top of a calm and quiet horse is worth every moment! This horse had done his owner wrong multiple times with bad behaviour that stemmed from anxiety, in turn creating a ton of nervous energy from his rider. This lack of trust on both ends snowballed quickly, making Oreos owner question her relationship with him and he...r ability as a rider in general. Sandi, I am sooo freaking proud of you and this horse today!! Thank you for trusting my program and sending Oreo my way when things got tough. One month later, Sandi is riding a totally changed animal with a totally different mindset. A mindset of positivity, courage and most importantly... TRUST! Oreo is headed home for the remainder of the summer, but I know I will be seeing lots of this pair for many years to come. We are all cheering for you both, and everyone else who is battling nervousness and anxiety with their horses. The MMEC sees your goals and helps you find success, no matter how big or how small!

I dont know this little cowgirl... but if you arent this happy when you are with your horses, you are doing it wrong! ride on cowgirl!!
