Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra 23.11.2020

"Second to my favourite composer, Beethoven, comes the Finnish master, Jean Sibelius. Today's clip is Sibelius: Symphony No. 5, performed by the Lahti Symphony ...Orchestra, home to the annual Sibelius Festival and conducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste. Some of you may recall Saraste from his time at the Toronto Symphony. I remember many days watching him work, an incredible musician and a champion of Sibelius. Enjoy!" - Denis Mastromonaco || Watch: https://bit.ly/2XgRx0J -- Twice per week, we will share the favourite symphonic works of our Music Director and Conductor, Maestro Denis Mastromonaco. Fill your home with incredible music as you do your best to practice social distancing. See more

The MSYO is a promising division of Orchestras Mississauga that has grown from 60 to 170 musicians by offering music education and performance opportunities to young classical musicians. On March 15th, the MSYO invites you to celebrate the growth of these young musicians and the excellence of the symphonic ensemble at A Guide to the Orchestra - the second concert in their 2019/20 season.
