A letter from your dance teacher, We see you come we see you go. Some of you for a season, some of you dance for a lifetime. Some of you will always need to have dance in your life in some way. Maybe you will teach, perform somewhere, dance through college? Maybe you will just take a weekly dance class for fun! Some of you walking through our doors will start when you are small, love dance for a while and inevitably feel dance is not for you. (We get it dance definitely isn...t for everyone! )Its good to find your passion. Some of you will dance along side of sports, gymnastics, martial arts, art classes, etc...and another activity will steal your heart. Some of you will move away. Some of you will come through our doors as little tots. Making your rounds through sports, dance, cheer, art, peewee this and that, getting exposure to all things and our time together is very brief. Some of you will try dance later in your adolescence and fall in love with it. Some of you will have families that dont support you dancing and you will leave us. There are so many scenarios. Bottom line is the longer you grow up in a dance family the harder it is to say goodbye. When you leave our studio though, you truly never leave our hearts. As a dance teacher all we want to do is help you learn the art of dance and ignite your passion if you have it. We love watching you learn and grow. We love seeing you become a team with your classmates. Then your team turns into a group of sisters/brothers with unique gifts that make your class work in a unique and beautiful way. Your season with us is a huge part of our journey as a dance teacher. We are so thankful for the opportunity to get to know you, to learn from you and better our craft with you. We are so thankful you tried dance. Some people never even get the opportunity to try dance so they never get to find out if they love it. Always remember to never give up on something you love. Even if you leave it for a while. If you find you need it come back to it in some way. God has a specific journey for all of us to follow, so even if you arent working through the ranks at New York City Ballet you can still enjoy dance. Dance will always be a part of you. There were lessons learned, friendships made, challenges overcome and life spent. Come stop in and see us if you can. Go support a local dance performance. Find a class. Worship through dance. Turn on some music and practice those pirouettes while the washer is going......and always remember how much your dance teacher loves you! See more
