s s Growing beef right here in your neighbourhood and keeping it local is what we do. From our gate to your plate. ... We are the ranchers. Carolyn & Mike Huber A love for agriculture, specifically beef cattle is what drew us to join the farming community in O’Connor township. We both grew up on farms, but miles apart. Carolyn, was born and raised in Northern Alberta. La Crete. Grew up helping with haying and farming needs for approx 80 cow/calf herd. While off the farm she enjoyed various office administration and customer service positions. Mike, was born and raised in Stratford, ON area, working along side the family on a mixed farm gave him a deep respect and appreciation for livestock. While working off the farm he applied various skills such as, welding, carpentry and landscaping. * How did you meet? Is a question we often hear. To keep it short, Carolyn’s search for adventure and office administrative role, landed us at the same business. Let’s just say... Mike couldn’t stay out of the office and rest is history. ’s !! May we take a moment to recognize and deeply appreciate the love of a mother. Especially for both of our moms that made great sacrifices for us and send love from a distance.... May we also recognize the moms that fill the role even though it’s not blood, but rather the heart that binds the ties. See more

Ouch.... Rolled into 2021 with a worn out and blown hydraulic hose. Not the way we expected to start the new year but thankfully the service at Itec 2000 is amazing and we’re back at it.
Happy New Year As the last sunset of 2020 fades away, we take a moment to reflect. It is with grateful hearts we thank each one of you that has touched our life, lent a hand, shared an encouraging word and supported local. Thank you!! Here’s to 2021
Merry Christmas Fine dining on a chilly Christmas morning.
Red Katie Meet the new ranch hand, Katie. She’s an 8 year old mare and came to us in an opportune time? Friends from Westview Stables travelled through the area, heading home from a horse sale in Alberta and stopped in here. We instantly fell in love with Katie Yesterday we tested her herding skills on a single calf that escaped the round up.... She knows the drill and definitely hasn’t forgotten the job as a ranch cattle horse. See more
First official snow fall!! Even the cows are confused about this white stuff on the ground.
Country living at its best!! Thankful to be living in a community with neighbors willing to lend a hand. Sometimes lending a hand isn’t physical labor, but rather a neighbor sharing encouragement in the form of a photo, captured in the fading evening light.... To often farmers focus on the work load, growing food, preserving and providing for the livestock we forget to stop, breath and soak in the beauty that we’re surrounded with. Thanks for sharing Shelley Thorne See more
Regenerative Ranching This hay field had poor yields for a few years due to lack of nutrients. We decided to fence the field and pasture cows for the fall and into the winter. This allows the cattle to spread manure rather then hauling it and spreading it. It will also aerate the soil and replant pasture as they push grass seeds into the soil.... Stay tuned for cattle arrival videos. See more
