Drilled an Artesian well last week near Onanole. Artesian aquifers occur when a water bearing layer is under positive pressure and is capped by an impenetrable layer such as clay. When a well is drilled into this Aquifer it takes the path of least resistance and flows naturally to the surface. At a total depth of 43ft this well flowed at 20 Gpm #groundwater #artesianwater #waterwelldrilling

Submersible pumps consist of 2 major components, a motor and a wet end. Shown on the left is a 150 hp Submersible pump motor without the wet end. On the right hand side is a complete 1/2 hp pump that is used for residential water wells.
