Announcement, Hear Ye Hear Ye!! During downturns has been where some companies bet on themselves, pivot, and grow. So here’s hoping!!! Our lease is up. We’ve be...en in our small spot for 9 years now. We’re moving into a larger space (same mall) and becoming a Full Service Bakery not just a specialized cupcake/cake shop. We’re expanding our daily menu, building a Social Media studio for online demos & classes. And with a giant new kitchen we can produce more in the same amount of time. Our current location is too segmented for ideal production. There’s no ending to what we can produce. We can now also flirt with wholesale ideas. We plan on opening early February Yup...we’re betting on ourselves. Now I gotta get back to work! Thank you friends, we love you for rooting us on.

Yesterday I was longing for one of my fav taco joints in Los Angeles, Tito’s Tacos. A crispy fried shredded beef taco. These are their tacos in the photo. Since I’m not going to be there for awhile I decided to make my own. But out of slow cooked shredded chicken cuz’ I didn’t have any beef at the time. You’ll find my version in the comments

Hey all. Can I ask you great customers for something? I ask this because I’ve had 2 different customers come in and were surprised we were open because they had heard we were closed for business. So, if you hear this, please let that person know that they are wrong! We do have weird Covid hours right now Wed- Sat but are looking to change that soon. In the summer, I publicly said, if anyone was interested in buying Monkeycakes we would listen to offers but are ready to keep ...building our great brand. After 9 years it’s always wise to look at your brand and see where you’re headed. We had 3 groups show interest but no one has come forward yet, so we’ll just keep caking on!! We do have some exciting news that we’ll be releasing shortly. Before Covid, we were working on a strategic growth plan. It looks like we about to start that even through a pandemic which makes me extremely grateful & proud. So...thank you for everything. You all are the best and we want to continue to make our community proud of our small business. A business started as a fundraiser in our kitchen on social media that’s now over 9 yrs old, been on national TV, sales in the 7 figures and still headed in the right direction!! #monkeylove
