We will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 21 - Jan. 2. You may see a suspicious looking winemaker or two lurking about the property over the holidays, but no one else - we have very little wine left (2019 Border Vines only) and while you can place an order online, please note that all orders received after today will be shipped after January 3rd.

Moon Curser Vineyards 04.10.2021

And it starts....#MoonCurserAdvent! We don't want to ruin the surprise here for anyone who hasn't unwrapped their first bottle yet, but we included cryptic clues as to the character of the wine provided at the bottom of each bottle. Need to peek and risk joining Santa's bad list? We understand - look for the envelope inside your box that reveals and explains ALL of the clues. We hope you enjoy unwrapping and counting down the nights to Christmas with a surprise wine each day!

Did you check out Terry David Mulligan's interview with our owners Beata and Chris Tolley from earlier this year? Chris & Beata so enjoyed chatting with Terry. He is such a terrific supporter of BC wine and we were delighted to be one of his Tasting Room Radio sponsors for 2021! It also features our neighbours & industry colleagues: Paula Cooper who’s worked for C.C. Jentsch Cellars and Lakeside Cellars and Dan and Carol Scott of Lariana Cellars. ... https://www.mulliganstew.ca//september-18th-2021-the-5th-/

The weekend is here, which means #CabernetFrancDay is near! It’s tomorrow. What are you planning to celebrate with? Although we don’t have a single varietal Cabernet Franc to bust out, it’s often been a part of our Border Vines blend - 15% for the 2019. Border Vines is Osoyoos East Bench grown, Bordeaux inspired: a Cabernet Sauvignon focused blend with Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Carménère...no Merlot was harmed in the making of this wine. It's one of our stap...les and is more readily available in stores and restaurants across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, than our other small lot wines. You can also get it from the winery (open for sales only M-F 10-5) or online with free shipping on orders of 12 bottles of wine or more. Tasting Notes: The 2019 Border Vines is a dry, medium to full-bodied red wine with a medium ruby colour, and is our go-to for a versatile red wine with good depth, complexity of flavours and structure. Notes of cherry, raspberry and tomato leaf leap out of the glass on the nose. On the palate, this wine is mouth-filling with fantastic weight and good acidity to balance. The nose is complemented with flavours of cassis, sour cherries, vanilla and oregano. Malbec shines through a little more this year, along with the distinct floral notes of Petit Verdot. Excellent length and concentration of flavours in this vintage make it approachable straightaway. This wine will also reward those with patience, as it will benefit from aging in the bottle over the next five to eight years. #CabernetFrancDay #CabFrancDay #CabernetFranc #CabFranc

Continuing the idea of theming your meal to your wine, this Portuguese soup paired with our Touriga Nacional sounds like a fun winter pairing! IG Repost @okgnfoodcrush A dip in the temperatures calls for soup. This is caldo verde, to me the best and most accessible Portuguese dish you can make. It’s literally just potato, onion, garlic, collard greens, white pepper, water and Portuguese chouriço. Chouriço is the Portuguese take on chorizo, it’s got much less paprika, mo...re garlic, and is not cured but smoked. The Spanish version is still good for the soup, but if you can get the Portuguese do it. Crush it with the @mooncurservineyards Touriga Nacional, a grape that is key to dry reds and port making in Portugal. Even though the soup is simple, giving time for the flavours to meld from the chouriço makes them bold and hearty, ready to stand up to the intensely aromatic wine. This crushable pairing should warm you right up! See more

What a beautiful fall day! Our guests walked by our vineyards to our Tasting Room in The Hideout and saw this view.... We were using our overhead sprinklers for watering our Viognier vines today. We don’t usually use our overhead irrigation because of the risk of mildew. We only use it at the end of the season, once the fruit has been picked, if time permits. #BCHARVEST2020 #BCHARVEST #HarvestFacts
