Community over Competition This, along with ‘no I in team’ (more on that later) is one of my essential business mottos. Right now, our hospitality (and fitness) sectors are being hit especially hard with new restrictions. Retail has not seen the same impositions - yet. Though we are in different industries, we’re all small businesses part of the same community. To help do our part, I made the conscious effort to purchase ten $50 gift cards from *some* (definitely not all!) ...of our favourite restaurants. And the recipients of the gift cards are the team here at Moorestock (happy staff = happy store). Typically, we stay pretty quiet about the conscious efforts we make in our community, but right now I feel that volume is important to help encourage others to do what they can. So what can you do? Order takeout Buy gift cards Eat on the patios Share on social! This one is particularly important, especially if contributing financially isn’t in the cards right now. I love February more with each passing year. Its low expectations in stark contrast to its high functioning siblings January and March (New Year, New You! Reset! Spring Cleaning!). February’s energy is a much softer paced respite during a season when hibernation feels like the only logical solution to survive. For those of us who work in more seasonal environments, it’s the chance to truly gear down before the engine starts roaring again in latter March. We’ve talked about l...aunching our website more than once. And behind the scenes, we’ve been overcoming the necessary obstacles to do so. New POS system to integrate with our e-commerce, holiday season, buying season and the beginning of the Spring inventory onslaught. Soon, March motivation will fire up, our website will be rolling, and all the cute new things you’ve been seeing on our stories will be shoppable from the comfort of wherever you are. But today, Sunday, is still February. And everyone knows you don’t start anything big on a Sunday - that’s what Mondays are for.

My eyelashes used to suck (for real). They were short, sparse, straight, blonde tipped etc etc. I’m pretty low maintenance beauty wise, so even wearing mascara on a regular basis is too much of a chore (not that it made enough of a difference anyway). I started seeing Lindsay @glolaserandskinbar for lash lift and tints - which FYI, are unreal - and she recommended I started using Eye Envy to really make the most of my lashes. I was seriously skeptical, and it did take some time before I noticed a difference, but this stuff is legit. The fact that you can noticeably see them in a photo is absolutely mind boggling to me (if that’s any indication what I was working with before). If your lashes also suck, you need this in your life
