Moose travellers riding the Ogopogo 'lake monster'! Interestingly, the Syilx people, who have lived in the area for at least 12,000 years, call it n xaxaitk (n-ha-ha-it-koo) and explain that it's not really a monster, but rather a sacred spirit of the lake that protects the valley from one end to the other. We were quiet last week as we took time to carefully consider what we wanted to say. And that simply is: We condemn police brutality and the systemic racism that underpins it. Black Lives Matter. We believe in inclusivity and acceptance of all people, but we know we can do better to actively support these principles as a company.
