The economic Elephant in the room doesn't care about politics, if you are offended, or the next shoe to drop in the media. So little attention being given to the largest provincial economy in Canada being shutdown for another month. I heard of a client's private business having to shut it's doors just today. They were hoping to hold out till June and then slowly open considering their customer's needs first.... The ripple effect of these desperate decisions can't be immediately estimated however it behooves us to look at the damage this elephant is doing, not just to the individual business but the fabric of our society. With so many other countries and provinces of our own country opening up...what possible logical explanation does the Ontario government have for the delay? And where is the pushback from #smallbusiness and #employers who are teetering on the edge? I can't imagine the additional economic damage another month will do to the people of this province and their families.
