On the link below you'll find the Ascension Day Sermon, preached by Pastor Lucas André Albrecht during the Wascana Circuit Ascension Day Service, held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on May 13th, 2021. "This is the importance of marking of this date, for all that was already said, and because we want to keep looking down to Earth to bring Christ’s Work to people, so that we may point them to Christ, and through Him, point them to Heaven" https://lutheran-church-regina.com//ascension-looking-into

Jesus is the Christ, II - Today's 7 Minutes

Mount Olive Lutheran Church 20.11.2020

"Today, we have the second part of the Encouraging with teaching small series that we’ve started last week. If you missed that one, you can find both sermons on our website. Following the steps of Paul I want to incentive you, children of light in Christ, with His Word. Especially in these end times when everything related to moral, ethics, peace and justice seems to be derailing by the day. Learning the Word of God, being reminded of it, holding fast to it, that’s where we find real encouragement and comfort for our life; at any time."

>>TO KNOW MORE If I'd ask do you know what a penguin is?, I think there would hardly be anyone out there that would say no. A penguin is a penguin, right? The black and white animal that lives in cold regions. Now, did you know you could find at least 19 different types of penguins? This time perhaps there’s few of you that would know that one. I’ve learned that the other day watching cartoons with Charles when I also found he knows more about penguins than I do. Her...e are some of them: Macaroni penguin, Royal penguin, erected-crest penguin, Eastern Rockhopper Penguin, Northern Rockhopper Penguinthe list goes on. You might say, well, whatever, a penguin is a penguin. But actually not, some of them can have considerable differences. The erected crest, for example, is known to live only in New Zealand. The same holds true for many different things. You could go on for butterflies, lions, or even for donuts, breads, and wines. Now when you hear the name of God, or Jesus, or the word faith, you might hear something similar, oh, it’s all the same. It doesn’t matter the religion or denomination. God is God, Jesus is Jesus, faith is faith. But hold on there. There’s more to it. There are gods that are made of silver, bronze, wood, money; and there’s the God that’s Triune. There’s the Jesus that is a revolutionary, miracle worker, good master, a myth, or non-woke enough; and there Jesus the Saviour of all. There is faith in mankind, ins governments, faith in lottery, in oneself, faith on numbers, stars, and good vibes. And there is the faith that holds on to the promises of God in Christ. It is not all the same. When you have a closer look, there are details that will differentiate them quite a bit. When you turn to the Bible, you find details about God, Jesus, faith, and much more that make them unmistakable for any other. God is eternal, omniscient, all mighty, eternal. Spirit, Love. Jesus is the God, the Son, the Saviour, the offer for our sins, the hope bringer, the resurrected, the ascended into heaven, the one whose body and blood is present in bread and wine. Faith is the means through which we are connected to Christ and receive from Him forgiveness. And many more. This is the Jesus we get to know more by faith, and also have the joy and privilege to share Him in a world where everything seems to be just black and white, permeated and pervaded by frozen hearts and burning minds. As we learn more and more, we know that he doesn’t live and act only in New Zealand or specific places; we understand that His arms are not that short so He can’t embrace us in Grace and Love; we come to know that His forgiveness and love are to be shared and lived, in a time where all important details seem to be frozen under a cap of iced indifference or hatred. For He is the One who leads our happy feet in the path or righteousness and life. (Rev. Lucas Andre Albrecht) [Source of the picture: https://tinyurl.com/y268hrgc]

Our F3 Group was out for a special call today: a window visit with seniors at the Regina Lutheran Home, to bring the love and hope in Christ with music and prayers. Also, handwritten messages on handmade cards especially crafted for the occasion (by Karen Knutson) where left at the quarantine room to be shared with the residents later. It was cold, but it was warm! . . The F3(Faith, Fellowship and Forward) Youth and Young Adults Group is a joint venture of Mount Olive and New Beginnings Lutheran, every 1st and 3rd Sat of the month, 6:30PM.

"As we are redeemed by His blood and raised as children of the Father we learn to focus our mind in the things that are above, and also to fill it up with what is good. That implies no mindfulness, but a Mind Full n’ Blessed."

"Still, Jesus has time for those 10 lepers. He stops; He listens. He helps. How is it that this super busy Master has time?"
