I love meeting new people. I am like that eager puppy that jumps to smile at just about any human being that I cross paths with. Sometimes I can tell that they need a smile that day. I will probe to get them chatting. A few weeks back, I met a beautiful mom while waiting for my son. I started chatting with her. I could tell she was carrying some weight on her shoulders. Turns out, she was in the midst of a separation with her husband.... Right away I connected to her - I was a child who went through the separation and divorce of their parents. As a grown woman, and mother now, my heart was with this woman. As a parent, you carry so much self inflicted guilt. You want to provide the perfect life, perfect food, perfect memories, perfect clothes, all of it for your children. When you don’t feel perfect, you blame yourself. Here’s the truth - sometimes you need to move out of necessity. Sometimes, life changes during a difficult, heavy, sad time. You may feel bad about downsizing - guilty about changing the type of home. Here’s the truth: When it was time to sell everything, my dad brought a bigger house. And my mom moved out of the country. I had to move in with my dad. I didn’t care about this big new fancy house I’d move back into a shack if need be, to be with my mom. Home is where healthy, and happy parents are to spend time with their children. For your children, you make home where you are. Home is where they feel safe. Loved. Prioritized. Seen. So size isn’t always important. Sometimes buying a place is an emotional time! Having a real estate agent that gets it, can make a world of a difference. See more

Today feels a #Gratituesday I’d like to express my gratitude to Naz owner of @schnazee1 @spincohamilton This woman is such a lover of community! The way that she speaks & her level of care of compassion is unmatched! ... Everything in her is about the empowerment and betterment of people. Her classes are always sold out! I mean do you blame us? You can almost FEEL her energy in this picture! Naz is an empath as well, which means she feels what needs to be said. She gets us to focus on who we truly are and how we can all improve for one another. Naz also reminds us that when we walk out of her class, we’re taking steps within the same community together and we should do so intentionally while showing each other love and compassion. She’s literally a dream human being. Which is why When the outbreak happened at her studio, she was like a zombie in pain. She was feeling whoever got sick and caring about them and trying to do anything possible to fix any gaps in the studio. It worked! And she’s back. So kudos, you’re an angel among us Naz and thank you for having the kind of heart that radiates so much goodness that all that cross your path feel it in abundance. You’re beautiful and I appreciate you so much. Isn’t this picture amazing? Drop a to show her some love!

Coffee or tea ? I do both. I’m middle eastern! We grow up on Tea being LIFE you are critiqued on how well you can brew your black tea.... It’s truly an art form in my culture and I have a deep appreciation for a good MUG of tea. ;) So I lied to you (kind of) On Mondays, we’re not just having coffee together, tea and breakfast too. This week I’d like to honor @creperieverlan on Barton Street. This was my first time at this restaurant and they opened up only 5 weeks ago. It’s their second location, the original being in Oakville. The tea leaves that they carry is a special brand and I had the most delicious creamy earl grey pot of tea. I also enjoyed some rose and raspberry Creme brulé (Swipe ) It was phenomenal! It was very light and flavorful! Not too rich, and I could really taste the ingredients instead of just sugar. My savoury crepe was incredible as well. You can tell they had so much heart creating this menu. I recommend this place 150% I literally can’t wait to go back ASAP! So, are you like me? Can you do both coffee and tea? See more
