Happy New Year

Movement Unlimited Inc. 09.12.2020

Packing is bitter sweet. 8 years ago when we moved our studio, we thought we had found our forever. Today I've spent a few more hours boxing up things and getting ready to move to our new home. I'm proud of the growth that we've had over the 8 years and even more proud of all the people we've helped to move better and feel better! Is 2021 going to be the year we help you?... #movementismedicine #movementunlimited #movementunlimitedmoves #letushelpyou #movebetterfeelbetter #pathtoprogress #niagararegion #fonthill #movementspecialists

Progress on our new studio. The second floor structure is framed and waiting for the next steps. Let me tell you how hard this was for me...I'm afraid of heights but I braved the ladders to see the new second floor! Thanks to our hard working friends at Serianni Construction Ltd. Give them a shout out!... #movementunlimitedinc #pilatesstudioniagararegion #placestoexercise #fonthill #niagararegion #therapeuticmovement #pilatesandrehab #newstudio #serianniconstruction #uptownplaza #uptownplazafonthill

What's going on behind your mask? Have you developed some neck or jaw tension since wearing a mask more frequently. Here's some great things to become aware of throughout the day!

More Christmas presents! Serianni Construction Ltd. and their crews have been working extra hard to get our new studio ready. We just received trusses to get the structure started.... We're so excited about how smoothly this build is going. So great to work with such professionals. They know our vision and have listened to us each step of the way through the process! #newpilatesstudio #movementunlimitedmoves #Pilatesniagararegion #pilatesniagara #movementunlimited #movewithoutpain #movebetterfeelbetter

Hi Friends! October is #adhdawarenessmonth . Since we’re now halfway through the month, I’m right on schedule for my first message about this. If that statemen...t sounds odd to you, please understand that I’m both joking and very serious at the same time. I’m able to joke, because 2 years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD (Combined Type). This awareness has literally changed my life for the better. Turns out that for 39 years prior, I didn’t realize that undiagnosed ADHD was in fact a significant contributor to the chronic anxiety and bouts of depression that I faced. The daily struggle with unfinished tasks, mismanagement of time, impulsive actions, sensitivity to rejection and difficulty organizing thoughts, actions and processes heightens my anxiety, caused me to continually feel like I was making simple mistakes and never fully reaching my potential in my relationships, career endeavours and overall progress in life. Those thoughts led to continual bouts with depression. I chose the image for this post intentionally, because I often felt like my life was becoming a series of rough drafts. Never satisfied enough to move forward, and continually questioning the value, accuracy, impact and worth of my actions. Fast forward to today, and I still have great difficulty following through on simple tasks like posting this message before October 14th (although I thought about doing so 5-10 times every day). A lot has remained the same, and the common difficulties are still there. However, the awareness of WHY I think and ACT the way I do has made my day to day life so much easier to prepare for, appreciate, and acknowledge. Medication and regular exercise is essential for me as well. While I certainly overthink my exact message way too much, I enjoy the act of sharing my awareness of ADHD and how my diagnosis has improved my life and that of my family. I hope that in doing so, I may reach someone else who feels similar to how I have felt for years, and is having trouble understanding why. If this resonates, please look into #adhd more closely. Speak to a doctor or therapist to learn more. Trust me, awareness is so helpful:) Please pass it on:) #adhdawarenessmonth

We all know that physical health is important to how we perform at work and how we feel about ourselves, but mental health matters. Our busy schedules often lea...ve no time for psychological self-care, and, in the long term, this can be a problem. But this doesn’t have to be the case. By taking small but effective actions, you can reduce stress levels in the workplace and improve your mental and physical well-being. Exercise can help relieve stress and frustration as it leads to increased dopamine levels, serotonin, and endorphins in the body, all of which improve mood. #EverythingGetsBetter #StayActiveStayHealthy #WorkBetter #WorldMentalHealthDay See more
