Part 3 of our intro to yoga in on YouTube. Link in Bio. A beginner yoga flow where we add onto what we learned in Part 1 and Part 2. We’re going to play with our balance and try some new postures. Have you wanted to try yoga but have felt intimidated? Are normal classes for a bit too fast? This series is for you. I’ll break down the movements and we’re going to go slow, with tons of cues so you can really get a sense of the movement. This series will get you ready to start doing some beginner yoga classes by learning some of the postures and having a foundation. What's your experience with yoga - have you ever tried it or do you practice regularly?
Happy Monday everyone! Here's a tree for the holidays. Let's talk a bit about balancing poses. Some people love them, some hate them. I always loved them, even when I fell out of them and even when they feel hard and my leg is just shaking wanting to get out of it. I love how they change every time you practice. And how they can teach us to let go of the expectations we have with ourselves. To stop taking ourselves so seriously. Have some fun. Enjoy the journey. Do you like balancing poses?
You are enough. You have nothing to prove to anyone. - Maya Angelou There's something about this time of year. All the planning, gift-giving and reflecting - on one hand can fill our hearts with love and compassion and on the other make you feel like you're not enough. But you are enough. Just as you are. Be kind to yourself.
Happy Monday everyone. It’s the last week before the holidays. Can you believe there’s only a few weeks left of 2020? Are you excited for anything still this year or are you waiting for 2020 to be over? Let me know in the comments. I’m excited for some downtime in the holidays to process this year and work on my YTT200. It’ll be a little different this year than usual but I’m trying to embrace it. It’s all about perspective right?... : @davemc_media
How do you feel about braving the wilderness? I've been reading a lot of Brene Brown recently, specifically braving the wilderness. She spoke about this quote by Maya Angelou a few times. At first it didn't resonate. And then it resonated deeply. To be authentic means risking being alone and standing alone at times. To speak up for what you believe in. To take the path that was meant for you.
