On the journey, we often compare ourselves to others, without realizing how amazing our results were in comparison to our previous selves, which is the most important thing. Release Lower Back Tension 1st row: Always therapeutic and relaxing to start with child’s pose then a couple of cat cow stretches. Inhale arch back, exhale round back 5x. ... 2nd row: Squat: Release tension in the back as you twist and open up the hips too. Seated Twist: Keep spike long. Inhale to lengthen spine, exhale to twist. 3rd row: Butterfly pose to stretch the spine & inner thighs. On your back: Hug knees to chest keeping shoulders down, using core strength to get hips closer to ground to stretch the lower back. Then open legs for happy baby to stretch hamstrings and inner thighs too. Rest in supine butterfly for a few deep breaths. 4th row: Thread The Needle: Stretching the glutes help release tightness in the lower back too. Relax shoulders and lengthen tailbone down to feel the stretch. Finish with a good spinal twist, breathing into the belly, exhaling from the lower back. Hold these poses for 30sec each. The target muscles are the quadriceps femoris and gluteus maximus (colored red) The main difference between landmine squat and #fullsquat is that in landmine, the center of gravity moves forward toward the bar, so that in standing position the body leans on the bar. As in full squat, we place the feet into slight external rotation. The knees move in a straight line towards the feet.... Anatomical analysis: The quadriceps femoris muscle extends the knee. The gluteus maximus extends the thigh at the hip joint. The hamstrings assist in hip extension. The gastrocnemius and soleus plantar-flex the foot.
