More outdoor lessons! Today the weather was mostly good except for a few sprinkles. Definitely warmer! Have a great summer Ivy, Roman, Hunter, Zander and Bethany!
It was a chilly morning for an outside lesson, and I'm pretty sure the cold messed with the tuning of Markus' strings, but he was a trooper and went along with my crazy covid idea like a pro! Thanks Markus!
Students! Anyone interested in a socially distanced lesson on my back patio, it's a viable option! Let me know if you would prefer this over zoom lessons. I'll let you use my super mute!
Good morning students and parents. In person instruction will be suspended for the next 3 weeks. I will be conducting lessons via zoom meeting. As we near the end of our regular music lesson season, let me remind everyone that the summer months would be a great time to add MUSIC THEORY to your skill set! Please contact me for more information. It's been a great year, despite covid. I can't wait to see all of your faces again (literally!). When the masks come off, I'm sure I will see new smiles with or without braces, and missing or grown in teeth! It will be a lovely day! Stay tuned for more information about our pending recital!
Hahaha! So funny! Go violin!
Hello parents and students. Does anyone have an 1/8th size violin that they would be willing to sell or rent out?Hello parents and students. Does anyone have an 1/8th size violin that they would be willing to sell or rent out?
I love Twoset violin! I love their humour but they have recently shared some very real and serious thoughts about musicians and mental health. Please take a listen. End the stigma.
Another incredible prodigy for your weekend's entertainment!
"If your self esteem isn't already destroyed by now......"
Violin parents: Here is a link to a podcast I listened to this morning. If you begin listening at 21:15 you will hear some great ideas for supporting your child in their practicing. I wish I had heard this when I was a music mom! I think it's a fantastic mindset. https://open.spotify.com/episode/4pA1EGNTukusttcX8h2FMC
Ivy is such a pleasure to teach. She came to me with a strong interest in learning to play the violin and was so excited to learn how to play this lovely duet with her mom. Here is Ivy playing, "When Stella Smiles".
Isabelle has been a student of mine for a couple of years now. She and I share a love of music, violin humor (see Twoset Violin on youtube), and Oscar the dog. Great work on Dvorak's "Humoresque", Isabelle!
First week back at teaching merits another viewing of this! Hahaha! This is the best! Sorry students. I couldn't resist! Just know we're not alone!
Please enjoy "The Little Drummer Boy", performed by Zoey.
One more Christmas selection...."God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen", performed by Roman.
Please enjoy " Let it Snow" played by my talented student, Lauren. Thanks for sharing Lauren!
Merry Christmas! Please enjoy "What Child is This" performed by my student, Markus. He recorded himself playing both the violin 1 and the violin 2 part. I'm super proud of this young man! https://youtu.be/5VG2yLANTeY
Merry Christmas from me and my students! Please enjoy Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer played by the young and talented Britton!
