Our responders do a pack check at the beginning of each shift to ensure that all equipment is stocked and ready to go! We carry 40+ first aid tools to every call we get.
Hello all, McGill University has moved the rest of the semester online and so as of tonight, March 16, our coverage will be placed on hold indefinitely as the safety of our responders, our patients, and the community is our top priority. We ask that individuals who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms call 1-877-644-4545 instead. If you need immediate medical attention, please call 911/EMS.... For a list of alternative resources available to McGill students, check out this link: http://msert.ca/covid-19-resources We encourage everyone to practice proper social distancing and hygienic practices. If you have any further questions about our coverage and the changes to response, please contact [email protected]. Stay safe everyone!

Back in April, MSERT took part in an initiative to donate any medical equipment or tools that student groups had for operations. In partnership with SSMU DriveSafe we were able to donate 8700 gloves, 50 N-95 masks and 5 boxes of pizza sponsored by alto_restaurant to the McGill University Health Centre. We want to thank all our health care heroes and other essential workers for sacrificing their time, energy and safety during this time of uncertainty. We hope everyone is staying safe and health during this time!
A huge thank you to SSMU DriveSafe for leading the coordination to donate medical equipment that student groups had to the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). We were able to partner with them and donate some of the extra equipment we had from our operations! As individuals, we can all do our part in helping to flatten the curve by practicing social distancing. We also encourage other student groups and organizations to participate and to help where they can! Thank you to all the essential workers who are working hard in this battle against COVID-19. We deeply appreciate all the work that is done to ensure our heath and safety!
Hi there! We hope you are all staying safe and healthy, and that you are taking some time for yourself to recharge In order to encourage social distancing, MSERT is launching its new #stayhomesavelives challenge! Check out our story for periodic updates on what our responders are doing to keep busy at home!
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues here in Canada and social distancing practices are becoming encouraged, we thought we would share some activities you could do at home to take a break from the news and take some time for yourself. Have you ever wanted to go to the Guggenheim museum but never got the chance? There are a ton of museums you can visit online, just check out the link below. You could also try learning some American Sign Language, picking up that book you’ve been meaning to read, watching this year’s box office hits, or doing some at-home Zumba. In any case, while we know it is tempting to stay attached to your phone all day waiting for news, we hope you are still taking some time to take care of yourself. Hello all, Due to the recent situation regarding COVID-19, MSERT will be adapting our response procedures as the safety of our responders and patients are our top priority. The important adjustments we will be making may affect our hours of service. As such, please refer to the following google doc for daily updates on whether there will be responders available at Lower and Upper residences. https://docs.google.com//10KUIfa5VXAFeBXx1JcExBFFOGQ/edit ... While the changes are being implemented, there will be NO coverage at ANY residence tonight. Additionally, we will not be holding office hours until classes resume. While we will try to maintain our coverage with extra internal precautions put in place, we ask that individuals who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms call 1-877-644-4545 instead. Please be diligent in your hygienic practices! If you have any further questions about our coverage and the changes to our response, please contact [email protected].
Due to the suspension of classes and exams on Friday, March 13, we will not be holding office hours tomorrow. If you are in need of immediate medical assistance, please contact 911/EMS. We will provide further updates regarding any changes to our service.
