Do you know about the Fresh to Families Project? It aims to get fresh food direct from our farmers onto the dinner plates of low income families, newly arrived refugees, and at risk expectant mothers living in our community! Families receive coupons each week to spend at the Farmers Market throughout the summer season.... Today at Mt Pleasant Market we will be collecting donations to give directly to this GREAT program! Our goal is to raise enough to fund 3 more families for the season. What do you think Mount Pleasant? Can we do it? We think we can...:) Stop by the info tent or Pie Competition to donate.

Bring a fork! There's PIE! This Sunday at Mt P market! Residents from all neighbourhoods were invited to bake their favourite berry pie from scratch and enter it in our BC Berry Pie Bake off.... A panel of judges (chosen by VFM) will be tasting and picking their favourites from 12-1pm. Slices of pie can be purchased from 12:15-1pm for $3 and ALL the proceeds will be donated to the Fresh to Families program! http://eatlocal.org/support-us/fresh-to-families/ See you Sunday:)
