Musee St. Joseph Museum

The Musée St. Joseph Museum is looking for an Administrator. If you have a passion for history and a knack for details, you might want to apply.

As a part of Culture Days, kids (ages 6 to 19) from Montcalm and Emerson/Franklin are welcome to enter this art competition. See details for attending a workshop and dropping off entries. It's Competition time!!!!!! As part of ArtsFest, we're looking for young artists who want to make a Selfie, not on your phones, but in Art materials! Your Selfie can be realistic, Abstract, Superhero Style, or just Wild and Crazy. There will be cash prizes available:... Age 6-9. 1st- $25, 2nd-$15, 3rd-$10 Age 10-14. 1st- $40, 2nd-$20, 3rd-$15 Age 15-19. 1st- $50, 2nd-$30, 3rd-$20 Kids can make these selfies at home or there will be a workshop available at The Art Studio on Main in Emerson. Times are Saturday Sept. 19 and Sunday Sept. 20 from 10-5 both days. All materials will be provided for a fee of $5.00. Call Sharon to register at 204-479-7662. All entries must be brought to the Art Studio on Main Street in Emerson by Monday Sept. 21, from 4-8. Entries will be juried by 5 artists and winners will be announced and displayed at ArtsFest at Emerson Complex, Sept. 25, 26, 27. Honourable mentions will be displayed at Musée St. Joseph Museum during the same weekend.

Valley Agricultural Society will host a Pembina Valley Amazing Race Challenge on the Stampede Grounds during the Pembina Valley Amazing Race September 5-7, 2015.... We are looking for a few volunteers to help host our challenge, this would involve helping host our challenge on the grounds and assist teams that are participating to complete the challenge.

The Museum will be "challenging" participants on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Good luck to all the amazing teams.

We're open this week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for the last days of summer break. Come check out how the early pioneers lived.
