This Remembrance Day join us in supporting our veterans while honouring the wartime contributions of animals, with the purchase of our new Animals in War pin. A pigeon has been chosen as this year’s symbol to represent all animals who have bravely served. Pigeons have such a strong homing instinct that some carried messages back from war zones on foot when they could no longer fly. We remember. UPDATE - FOUND SAFE!! - MAGNETAWAN / WHITESTONE LOST DOG - PLEASE SHARE Tundra is an intact male hound missing since Monday November 9, 2020 in the Magneta...wan / Whitestone area. His GPS collar last had him heading east from Harris Lake/South Magnetawan towards Dunchurch/Whitestone but his GPS battery has now died. He was spotted November 16th in a marsh on Shawanaga Lake Rd near Lorimer Lake Rd, Whitestone TWP. He was wearing an orange collar with his name and owner's phone number, and GPS collar. He will be rehabbed by a dachshund res...cue and will find a new home for his happy retirement! ---------- This small dog was found October 13, 2020 on Old Novar Road just East of Ravenscliffe Road. It is a senior neutered male and appears to be a long-haired dachshund or similar breed. He has been taken to the Muskoka OSPCA for further care and a shave. They found he had a flea collar but no identification. Please no nasty comments, just looking for the owner.
