The last Homeschool and Afterschool Stable Kids (learn to ride program) for this year starts next week. The session is 3 weeks in length and is offered to youth ages 7 to 13. The cost is $100 plus HST in total for the 3 weeks and can be booked online at backofbeyondequinecentre.com. Today the kids rode on the trails on a colourful carpet of leaves and had a great time.

Stable Kids - Afterschool and Homeschool beginner learn to ride program for kids ages 8 to 14. There are still a few spaces left on Wednesday on both Afterschool (4 pm to 6 pm) and Homeschool (10am to noon) times. Hours spent riding and caring for horses is time well spent and a terrific way to enhance your childs educational experience and leadership skills. Horses are amazing at teaching math, science, environmental awareness and, of course, there is lots of physical act...ivity involved. When you sign your child up for the 3-week program (2 hours per week) they will get up close and personal with a variety of horses from little Muffin to big Damascus. Along the way, they will learn the basics of riding while playing Pony Club style games and develop lots of horse care and handling skills.
