It's the final month of 2020, Prince George! Real Estate last month was interesting! We saw a high turnover last month, with just as many sales as new listing that came onto the market. With just under 2 months supply of properties being offered for sale, it is a very completive market for buyers. Now more than ever it is very important to have all your ducks in a row when thinking about buying in a fast pace market. Overall at a time where we generally see the market cool...ing off coming into December, that was not the case in November. Just another thing out of the norm we’ve experienced in 2020. This year Christmas shopping has been a bit different. I know I try to support as many local businesses as possible, but I'm guilty of using the Amazon monster. I've also done some online shopping through local companies. I had a wonderful lady make me some custom ornaments; I've gone to VanHorlicks for some custom gifts as well as bought a few Christmas gifts for myself from Simply Beautiful! How have you done most of your Christmas shopping this year?

They are encouraging residents to pre-purchase a firework(s) from them and for everyone to light them off together from their backyard or driveway at exactly 9pm on December 31st! - bit.ly/LightTheNight-NYE-PG : The proceeds from the sale of all fireworks for this event will benefit The Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Prince George Legion! Pre-orders must be placed by December 5th. I am hopeful that this coordinated approach will reduce the length of time and spontaneity of the personal fireworks celebrations that typically take place on New Years Eve by coordinating it all to take place at one exact time and not throughout the entire night and without warning in neighbourhoods. This will hopefully allow for pet owners, or others with sensitivity to fireworks to appropriately plan and be prepared for the brief interruption at exactly 9pm, while still giving other folks a chance to enjoy their fireworks display and NYE celebrations with their household bubble at their home at a specific time.
