My Angel 6 years ago today you took my breath away. I haven’t taken a full breath since you took your last. If I breathe deep enough, I may release the pain of being without you. If I breathe deep enough I arrive at the void you left behind in the core of my being, in my heart, and in my soul. I am searching for you daily; seeking you in the laughter of friends, the embrace of lovers, the unconditional love of a mother to her child, the kind smile of a stranger, and the joy... of dancers on a stage. You are omnipresent. You are love itself and although words cannot describe how much I miss you, I’m have even less words to tell you how grateful I am to you. Thank you for teaching me love. Thank you for showing me joy. Thank you for practicing laughter and dance with me as a child. Thank you for teaching me understanding as you sought to understand everyone. Thank you for teaching me patience even though waiting to hear your voice again is the hardest things I’m learning to wait for. I know one day you will greet me again.
