Using the painting My Living Quarters (either virtually or in person) identify the objects you see in George Broomfield’s room, and find them in the word search!

Holiday Hours at the NAFMC!
Happy Holidays from all of us at the NAFMC! *Updated Hours*
We had a special guest at the NAFMC today, Lieutenant-General Meinzinger, Commander RCAF, pictured here in the Restoration Workshop getting a firsthand look at the restoration of Lancaster KB 882. Fun fact, Lieutenant-General Meinzinger spent time in 408 Squadron, the same squadron KB 882 was a part of in the later part of its operational life.
We mourn the passing and celebrate the life and legacy of a pilot who truly had the right stuff, General Chuck Yeager. In 1947, Yeager broke the sound barrier and proved that we can always keep pushing further and faster.
Don't forget to visit our latest exhibit, "Pictures of War", on now until February 28, 2021!
#OTD December 7, 1941 - Canada declares war on Japan. Hostilities would continue between the Allied nations and Japan until Victory over Japan Day (VJ Day), August 15, 1945. Prior to VJ Day, Canada began preparing Tiger Force, a bomber force that was to be sent to assist forces in the Pacific against Japan. Tiger Force was stood down after the Japanese surrender. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and VJ Day. Visit the NAFMC to see our exhibit, Victory!, on now until March 28, 2021.

In Flanders Fields, by John McCrae First published in 1915 during the First World War, this iconic poem has come to symbolize the act of remembrance, and the wearing of a poppy. Although John McCrae did not survive the war, his poignant words live on, as a reminder of the service and sacrifice of all Canadian military personnel, past and present. Thank you City Of Quinte West for including us in this beautiful video. ... Lest we forget.
