APPLES, APPLES, APPLES! We have purchased a good supply of lovely locally grown apples to mix with our own farm grown apples. They are on is display table today. Some cooking apples, but mostly bright and shiny eating apples. We had used up most of our farm grown apples with our Family U-pick and the Veggie Box Program, so be are very fortunate to be able to purchase locally grown apples from Berry Point Orchard. We are also offering our own apple that we call the ...Pond Apple, as it magically appeared fully grown and bearing fruit in the trees and bushes that grown around the Irrigation Pond. As you can imagine with its very own water supply it grows big, juicy apples. We have the apples on the display table correctly names. We would very much like to hear from you which variety you and your family liked best. It will be a help when we are grafting our next batch of apple trees. It is Holly picking time. We will have a supply of bundles of varigated Holly for your home decorating ;needs and gifts for the holiday season. We can help you with additional greenery as required. Barbara sff See more

SEED SAVING!! This weekend and for many more weekends to come, we will be cleaning and saving seed. Seed saving is so important and a huge part of gardening! If you are able to save your own seed, then go for it! All you need is a little time and patience. The end result is seeds that are more accustomed to your microclimate and healthier all around! Not to mention you save some money! Come by each weekend and ask us about which seeds we are saving. We are more than happy to... give you a little demo as well as chat about the process. This weekend we have been saving lettuce seed; Winter Density, Samantha, Speckled, and one mystery variety! All of which we will be seeding now and in the spring. We also will seed some to sell at our stand for anyone who would like some lovely lettuce transplants. Each year in spring we sell loads of transplants for your gardens, so please suggest any that you may be interested in growing! See more

FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, FAMILY U-PICK WEEKEND. We look forward to seeing you at the farm for a walk about and pick whatever product suits you. Great outing for the children, and an opportunity to sign up for work this summer as farm helpers and pickers. The chickens are always happy to see you. Dogs too. We are taking orders for berry crops which will be available throughout the coming spring; also our own farm grown garden seeds; and transplants when they become avai...lable in the Spring. There is a nice walk out to the back of the farm. This was a big old farm that dates back of 1909., all run with horses both farm cultivation as well as transportation for work and for school. It would be a good project to write up for a school as there is lots of great research information available. We look forward to seeing you at the farm. Lorne, Barbara and the gang. See more
