Winter ain’t joking around this morning in Smithers. And no, and Victoria friends - we don’t want to hear about the misery of -1 today . That’s right feels like -43 out there today.

A pleasure to make opening remarks at the WFCA 40th annual conference. The silviculture industry planted 300 million trees last year, in a pandemic with 0 positive COVID results. Planting will begin again in just a few weeks & we'll work hard to make it safe for everyone.

Advocates in the north have fought for years to get more dedicated addiction treatment beds. Our gov't is funding 100 new beds in 14 organizations around BV & will increase access to addictions treatment & recovery bed-based services.

It was an incredible honour to take my oath of office today and thank you to all the friends and family who have sent lovely messages of congratulations. To be able to represent Stikine in our provincial legislature is a humbling thing and I'll work everyday to represent us well.

In the perennial debate (lemmings v sheep) who really wins? In fighting a pandemic I'm with the sheep. Wear a mask, stay safe, keep calm/carry on.

This kind of irresponsible & dangerous behaviour is not what our community is about. Kudos to the credit union staff & the police for handling this man who thinks that wearing a mask is some outrageous attack on his liberties. Check the law.
