Today we remember the survivors of Canada’s Residential Schools and those who didn’t make it. We recognize the intergenerational trauma caused by Residential Schools and the racist structures that enabled them. Thank you Phyllis Webstad - who joined us on a virtual event yesterday - for bringing your story to light and creating Orange Shirt Day. Native Northwest has proudly supported Orange Shirt Day since it’s beginning. Funds from our orange shirt sales will be directed to organizations, including Orange Shirt Society, that work to undo to the traumas of residential schools. #orangeshirtday2020 #reconciliation #everychildmatters
