This is a great read about informed consent. Women in their 30s were the least likely to be informed
I love this chart from fellow dietitian Jennifer Anderson at @kids.eat.in.color. While you work on getting your picky eaters to enjoy veggies, you can rest assured knowing they're getting comparable nutrition from fruit!
Helpful tips for packing school lunches!

This is a great summary of a functional approach to hypothyroidism. I especially like the quote if you listen long and carefully enough to your patient, she will tell you the diagnosis. Use lab tests to confirm

A great overview of the pros and cons of food sensitivity testing.
Halloween week is here and many parents ask how I handle the influx of candy and treats. Here's a great article that's a must-read for every parent. It rein...forces the principles of intuitive eating and eating competence, even for kids! -Let them decide if and how much to eat. -Restricting any food leads to wanting more of that food when available, and reduces our ability to self-regulate. -Satisfaction matters! Let them eat their favourites instead of making them choose the "lesser of the evils" Here are some of my favourite quotes: It’s tempting for a parent to believe that if they tell their kids what to do with their candy, their kids will do it and be healthier, she says. But apparently that doesn't work. Kids won't learn to listen to their own hunger cues if you're constantly telling them what and when to eat, she explained. "They either restrict or they have all of it. We know from food habituation studies that the more often someone actually eats a food, if they’re allowed to eat it every day, overall calorie consumption from that food decreases, as opposed to if they eat it once a week as a ‘cheat meal,’ Fonnesbeck encourages parents to be supporters, helping kids check in with their own instincts by asking questions like, How did all that candy make you feel? What would you do differently next time?" "Make the conversation about the process, not the outcome, she said. If a child was given a few of her favorite candies, making sure to end the period with their most favorite, they would look back at the experience more positively than if they were given lots of lesser candies in addition to those favorites, https://www.bonappetit.com///halloween-candy-ration-rules
