Natural Elegance Designs

As I near the end of stretch semester 3, one of my final projects was to create a luminaire out of recycled materials. I call it the shimmering rose. I love how it plays into the resurgent of Art Deco as well as a little boho. All items were found around the house, who knew a hanging garden basket could be as such!

Natural beauty is in the world around us, embrace it by embracing local culture through art! This caribou flower was crafted out of respect by a woman of aboriginal culture. ~ a tribute to how much the native aboriginal people of many tribes appreciated all that the caribou offered them for warmth, food and shelter.
