Health Tip #1 The liver is responsible for many functions in the body including metabolism, blood purification and bile production. An overburdened liver is the cause of many major illnesses plaguing us today. The liver is the power house of the body, when it is not doing well, you will not be doing well!... - Drink a glass of room temperature water with 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice every morning, it will help detoxify the liver and clear toxins from the body as well as aid in digestion. - Foods that support the liver: Cabbage (juice it if you have one), dandelion root, artichokes and leafy greens (bitter, collard, beet) - these neutralize metals, chemicals and pesticides that are often in our food and are metabolized by the liver. - Avoid poor quality food, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, prescription medication (whenever possible) and recreational drugs!
