We just love the hand painted details on these yurts and we think you will too! The first time we stayed in a yurt we thought we were living in a piece of art! This dark blue yurt is called our Kingfisher Yurt. All of our yurts have been given names for creatures that are commonly seen on our property! #yurt #mynaturespace

Today’s Wellness Wednesday is all about a concept from mindfulness known as Beginner‘s Mind. It is the ability to see the world through the joy, wonder and curiosity that a child would experience. When we really think about it, the world and everything in it is pretty miraculous! And when we get really curious and explore why things are the way they are, we become fully present with them. It’s that feeling of seeing something for the first time and gasping, wow, look at... that! It's also about having FUN! Experiencing joy in the moment is one of the best ways to embrace beginners mind. Grabbing the lichen from the tree and making an old man’s beard with my daughter brought two-fold joy; my own from being silly, playful and happy, and the joy in watching her laugh at my goofy beard and the excitement in the chance to make her own. When we play, get curious and look for possibilities in the world around us, we experience our best and most authentic selves. We have been busy working away on building a four season glamping resort here in PEI! We got the Kingfisher Yurt set up this past weekend and had a camp out with the kids, for quality assurance purposes! Check out the photos from our stay! Opening sneak-peek bookings now! The Eagles Nest Loft is complete and we have our first guests arriving next weekend! We are picking up the beautiful reclaimed wood furniture for the Kingfisher Yurt (pictured here) today and will be getting it all set up this weekend. We tried out the stove with the kids last night and it was cozy! As our main building is still under construction, so we are not fully open, however, in March we will be making the Kingfisher Yurt availabl...e in combination with the Eagles Nest Loft at a reduced "sneek-peek" rate as we are not fully open. We had an incredible time on Thursday evening on our Harvest Moon Paddle. Great bird sightings and a wonderful sunset and moonrise. The clear skies allowed us to see three planets as well! - Mars, Jupiter & Saturn! We are still open for kayak tours and experiences this fall, by appointment only. We chose the name "Nature Space" for our four-season glamping resort as we wanted to best describe what we are about. Join us this Sunday for a beautiful paddle and yoga practice, and perhaps an opportunity to see an incredible shipwreck! Creek & Dunes KaYOGA takes place Sunday from 1 to 5 PM and starts with a tranquil nature tour on the St Peters Lake. We end our paddle near the Lake Run, the site of PEI‘s most recently discovered shipwreck. Here, after a yoga class, participants will have an opportunity to swim, and explore the wreck, before starting our paddle back. A homemade snac...k using local ingredients is included. If you are interested in a Farm-to-Table experience we have something for you! Learning about how oysters are grown while floating on top of an active oyster farm is an awesome experience. We will even pull the oysters out of the bags and see how they are doing and what it takes to get from seed to our table. What a beautiful weekend. It was a blast taking folks to some of the quiet places we have come to love here at Nature Space. The water was abound with birds and wildlife.
