Due to the weather there won’t be any BBQ today.
Well folks this is our last weekend at MacDonald Farm and tomorrow from 2-4 we will have 2 pipers performing. Jennifer Maillet from the RCMP band and Kevin MacLeod from Moncton District Pipes and Drums! We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who visited the farm this summer it certainly has been a different season but we look forward to things returning to normal dor 2021!

Only 2 sundays left to enjoy the sound of the bagpipes at the farm this Sunday we are pmeased to welcome Fraser a member of the Moncton District Pipes and Drums! In this pic Fraser is learning a few dance moves deom his daughter!!
The wagon will only be available today, August 23rd, until 3pm this afternoon.

There will be pipers performing the next 3 sundays August 23 August 30 Sept 6 our last day ooen for this season! Bios of the pipers performing will be posted on the Saturday before!
All 5 kittens posted today have been adopted but stay tuned we may have more on Thursday!!

Today if you are looking for something to do on this beautiful Sunday head down to the farm and listen to Piper Shelena Marsh! Shelena is a piper with Moncton District Pipes and Drums! Originally from British Columbia she grew up playing the tenor drum in her local pioe band! She always wanted to learn the pipes and finally took the plunge with her move to Shediac NB this past February! She is learning so much about Atlantic Canada and is excited to explore more in the coming months! So if you happen to take in her piping today be sure to give her a fine Miramichi Welcome!

Just a heads up, this Saturday August 8th, the farm will be closed for the day for a wedding !!

Its a beautiful day down here at the farm! The sun is shining and the animals are out. Dont forget that were having our bbq from 1-3 today, if youre looking for something to do today why not come down to the farm!
For the remainder of the day today July 30th, the wagon wont be running as the trails are very muddy and there is a risk of the wagon getting stuck. However our walking trails are open as usual !
Our summer student Emily is excited to announce that starting July 31, we will be serving bbqed Hot Dogs and hamburgers on Fridays and Sundays from 1-3 at the welcome center. Social distancing and Covid guidelines will be followed and we expect our visitors to follow them as well during the BBQs.
Happy Monday Everyone ! We have some exciting news, we will be getting 3 more kittens in about 2 weeks or so, so make sure youre on the look out for our soon to be new farm members !

Happy Canada Day fro MacDonald Farm Heritage Site!! We are excited to see you all at the farm starting tomorrow . Hours for the 2020 season are as follows Thursday to Sunday 12 pm - 8 pm Our gift shop will be open and there will be cool tasty treats for sale but we ask that everyone reapect the covid-19 rules and ask for assistance from one of our friendly students! The animals are very excited to see everyone. Stay tuned for more to come from the farm in the next couple of days!

I would like to make a correction to my previous post concerning hours of operation for MacDonald Farm We will be open from 12 pm to 8 pm Thursday through Sunday this year! Stay tuned for more exciting news from the farm
We are so excited to announce that MacDonald Farm will be opening on July 2, 2020! We will have a modified operating schedule this year due to Covid -19! We will be open Thursday to Sunday this year from 12 noon to 8 pm and closed Monday -wednesday! Spread the word and bring somebody that has never experienced the beauty of this 18th Century farm
Due to Covid-19 we have been given the directive from Fredericton that MacDonald Farm Heritage Site is closed! I realize that our season hasnt started yet but there are many people who walk on our site even when we are not open! So this means our site is closed to all foot traffic as well! Signs will be posted today and we ask that everyone respect the rules laid out by the Province!! At this point we are unsure what lies ahead for the 2020 season but as I recieve information from Fredericton I will share it here! Please share this information! Stay healthy everyone

Regretfully we are not able to do Christmas at the Farm this year so but come kick off Christmas at Wilsons Point for Christmas Harmonies

A big thank you to everyone who came out to our final family fun day and final day opened for the season. We really appreciate your support today and throughout the summer ! Thank you all the volunteers, and committee members we couldnt have made the summer possible without you! Thank you to the entertainment at the festivals, everyone involved in making family fun day possible from the pony rides, the face painting, tattoos and photo booth, the bouncy castle, carnival game...s and the balloon animals!! We loved working with you this summer and will hopefully see you again next summer!! Finally, to our staff, thank you for all the hard work youve put in and the long hours that were required to prepare for the festival and family fun days. You are all very much appreciated and good luck returning to school next week !! We are proud of you !
