**COVID-19 Update** We would like to thank all our clients for their patience over the past few months. The COVID pandemic has created significant changes in our day to day procedures. We are looking forward to being able to offer more services to you on June 8 after the restrictions are lifted. We are planning to continue curbside service for now. At this point, clients will not be allowed in the building. Rest assured, your pets are getting the same great care they alwa...ys have. The loosened restrictions will mean: -we will be able to do elective procedures such as spays and neuters and dental cleanings. -we will resume doing regular vaccinations. We are still scheduling appointments and ask that you call once you get in the parking lot to let us know you have arrived for your appointment. We are asking clients with symptoms of COVID 19 to stay home and have someone else take your pet to the clinic. We realize everyone is eager to get their pets taken care of. Please be patient with us - our phone lines are very busy and we will do our best to get all the pets up to date in a timely manner. Please be kind to our amazing staff - they are working hard to keep every one two-legged and four-legged happy. We look forward to seeing everyone! -The New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic team

First of all, we want to say thank you to all of our clients for being so understanding and supportive during this difficult time. Veterinary clinics have been deemed essential services by the Nova Scotia government. At this time, we are only doing urgent care and emergency cases. We will do what we can to keep your pets healthy. We are also working on reduced hours. We are available from 8-12 and 1-5 only during the week. Saturdays we are working from 9-12 and 1-3 but... with reduced staff. Sundays we are closed. Please call ahead with prescription refills and food orders. Thank you for your understanding. Please be safe, be kind and stay home as much as possible. The NGVC team

ATTENTION Due to the COVID 19 outbreak we are taking measures in order to keep our staff and clients healthy. As of today, March 17, there will be NO PUBLIC ACCESS to the building. ... When you call the clinic, please be ready to provide our reception staff with as much information as possible so they know how to best serve you. Please call and we will make arrangements for food pick up and refills. Urgent care cases will be seen but we will meet you at the front door to get your pet and we will communicate with you via telephone. All payments will be made over the phone with a credit card. If you have travelled outside of the country in the past 14 days or are showing signs of illness, please send someone else to the clinic. We are doing our best to keep stocked with increased demand for products but will be limiting amounts due to supply. At no point will we compromise the health and well being of your pet. We are making these changes to protect our staff so that we can continue to care for your pets. Thank you for your patience as we adjust to this new and temporary method of operation. We will get through this crisis if we work together. The Team at New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic

To our valued clients, As the COVID 19 virus spreads, the ongoing safety of our clients, their pets and our dedicated team members is our top priority. We ask that if you or a family member have travelled out of the country in the past 14 days or are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please have someone else take your pet in. If you need food or medication refills, please call ahead and we will make arrangements for you to get what you need.... We are taking additional measures to ensure that our veterinary clinic is cleaned and sanitized more frequently, particularly in the reception and waiting areas. Our vigilance is to ensure the safety of the public, as well as our staff. On another note, the World Health Organization says that our pets are not carriers for the disease currently - we will keep you up to date if this statement changes. We are open for business and ready to help you and your pets. Thank you! Your New Glasgow Veterinary Clinic team

Sharing for a client: LOST Acadia Avenue Stellarton... Sometime last night my kitty Willow must have escaped the house. She is small, no collar, has spots and stripes, and is usually very timid and scared. We also call her Willy. I believe she may be microchipped but I honestly can't remember and I'm not sure how that works. She does NOT normally go outside so I imagine she is VERY scared. PLEASE SHARE. REWARD OFFERED.
