New Life Youth 09.11.2020

Growing up, I always went to church and believed in Jesus Christ because that was my parents' lifestyle. However, my relationship with Him wasn't strong. I was very young and didn't fully understand everything I was being taught. . . . .... When I was about seven years old, I had an overwhelming feeling to ask Jesus into my life and learn to do everything he wanted me to know to fulfill the plan He had in store for me. However, I eventually fell away from the Lord when I was going through a rough time at age 11. He showed me that He is always there, yet I ignored Him. . . . . I fell into a much darker place when my brother took his life. I had the primary source of my pain and the constant worry taken away from me in a traumatic way that it scarred me in a way I thought it wouldn't. I was so done with everything that I was open to anything that could help me get better. At this point, I was ready to do something that I would probably have regretted afterward. . . . . I believe that God used my friends and other people that I didn't expect to help me find myself and find my way back to Jesus Christ. After years of restoring my faith and rebuilding my relationship with God, I've gotten to know the right people to have in my life and experience His unconditional love. He has shown me that His arms are always open wide and that there is strength in my weaknesses. He has shown me that He will not give up on me or anyone for that matter. He will always find a way to help you get back up. . . . . With all that He has done for me, I want to obey him and follow Him and his teaching for the rest of my life. I know I'm bound to fall and make mistakes now and then, and that I have much more maturing to do as a Christian. By getting baptized, I want to declare that I am dead to my sin but alive in God through Christ Jesus. See more
