This afternoon, the Province of Ontario has just announced that York Region will now be moving into a Grey "Lockdown" Zone, as of Monday, December 14th. Because of this and the additional restrictions, **we will have to pause our Competitive Programs and Training Sessions starting this upcoming Monday**. However, all our competitive sessions will continue as normal today, Saturday and Sunday. Since this change in York Region’s restrictions to a Grey Zone is extremely new, w...e as a Club will work with the Province and Health Officials and will continue to keep everyone updated for any changes. We know health and safety comes first and will resume our training sessions once we can, and we hope everyone is staying safe and find a way to stay active through this.

We hope everyone is doing well and keeping active this week! Firstly, we want to thank everyone who took time and participated in our survey. Unfortunately, since Ontario is back in Phase 2, this means soccer is back to Phase 1, which is no contact, no games or scrimmages. And even though most of our players wanted to continue playing games, this goes beyond our powers. Recreational Program Update ... While we are in Phase 2 in Ontario, our recreational programs (Micros, House League, and Skills Programs) will be put on hold until we can return to play games, and will resume again once the province is back in Phase 3. No sessions or time will be lost, and they will be made up for once we resume as we will be extending our Fall Season to make up for those sessions. The updated schedule for your programs can be seen on PowerUp through your Family Calendar (which will be updated by the end of next week), with the additional sessions added, and carrying into the New Year (there will be a holiday break from December 21 to January 10). Competitive Program We will continue to run our Competitive Programs, with a modified skills-based structure while we remain in Phase 2 in Ontario. We will run a modified structure as we did in the Outdoor Season, with 10 players per field in the facility. Information on schedule adjustments will be provided to you by your team coaches. Given that this is an ever-changing situation in Ontario, we will make sure to provide you with any changes or updates that occur. And as always, for any questions feel free to reach out to us. ~ NSC Team
