Players will get a better understanding of how to properly use their edges to generate speed and power. We are patiently waiting to get back on the ice and get back to working on player development, in the meantime all we can do is share some old footage of our students working hard as always! #nextlevelplayers
We believe that if there is a will there is a way to get better every single day. That's why we've been working on a 5 week off-ice puck control program that players will be able to complete at home with just their gloves and stick, while we do our part to help end the spread of this virus. Hope you enjoy this sneak peak preview! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
As we continue to work on our 5 week off-ice stick-handling program we hope you enjoy this on-ice drill. There are a lot of key elements in this drill that will help players become better skaters with explosive speed and power. Notice how much ice Coach Nik covers with his wide crossovers, how low he stays during this stops and starts and demonstrates the perfect shooting technique by pulling the puck back, looking at his target and following through with his blade. The celebration is just a cherry on top #nextlevelhockey #nextleveldrills
At Next Level Hockey we always encourage players to be creative and try new things on the ice. This is a video we filmed 2 years ago having some fun and getting creative on a frozen lake!
Who else is looking forward to getting back on the ice when this is all over???
We hope to be back on the ice soon and get back to helping players develop and elevate their game. In the meantime let's make sure we all do our part and stay inside to help end this pandemic. In this video pay attention how the player uses c-cuts and crossovers to pick up speed out of his zone and creates good puck seperation in order to get around the defensment and protect the puck. All things we teach at Next Level Hockey!
We are excited to announce our online skating course! This is a great tool for players to learn the skills they'll need to become a stronger skater and be more dominant on the ice. The course has 89 drills starting with the very basics and working our way up to most advanced techniques that you see a lot of NHL players use to separate themselves from the competition. We break down each drill and skill for players to truly understand how to successfully complete it. You'll als...o be able to track your progress as you watch and complete each module. *With the current pandemic we understand access to ice is difficult so we will be releasing our Off-Ice Training Course soon!* To get 60% off use promo code: NEXTLEVEL60 https://www.hockeyskillschool.com/next-level-hockey
This is a great way to use a punch stop on a zone entry to create a quick shot on net. Use your outside edge to punch into the ice to quickly change direction and put the puck in a good area for a quick release. #nextlevelhockey #nextlevelskills #deception #scoregoals #dominant #hockey
This is a great drill to help players be more evasive and create time and space for yourself on the ice. Quick feet and body language is key to faking the player chasing you and escape the corners when picking up pucks off the wall. Focus on turning your toes quickly one way and using a 'punch stop' to accelerate the opposite way. #quickfeet #nextlevelskills #createtimeandspace #keepthefistance #nextlevelhockey #elevateyourgame
