We wish all our students a great first week of learning. This school year is sure to be different but we are positive that everyone will have a successful educational year.

The academy will be reopening with new guidelines and rules to make sure that we remain as safe as possible. These include staggered sessions, frequent cleaning of high traffic areas, spaced out teaching zones and sanitation areas. We will be messaging all clients this week & next to discuss any concerns and book your first returning session.

HOW MUCH TIME SHOULD CHILDREN SPEND LEARNING EACH DAY? The simplest answer is that your family will know best what learning expectations will be reasonable for your children based on your own circumstances. There is no single correct answer. The Ministry of Education suggests the following guidelines for how much time should be spent on schoolwork each day, based on grades:

This website is a great resource for assisting with Elementary Ontario Math. Math Games uses online learning games to reinforce all areas learnt in Grades 1 - 8. Be sure to scroll down and click on "Practice by Grade" for all specific resources for a certain grade.

After much consideration and debate, we have decided it is in the best interest of everyone if we close down for three weeks. In such an unprecedented situation, it is hard to know what the right decision is however it is always better to be safe, rather than sorry. As of now, we will plan to reopen on April 6, 2020.

We are running a holiday food drive. All non-perishable food items will be donated to a local food bank. If a client brings in THREE non-perishable food items before November 30th, 2019, they will receive a coupon for $5.00 off their next unpaid tutoring session*. *one coupon per client

Niagara Learning Academy is looking for a tutor who can work out of clients homes throughout the Niagara Region. Applicants must have experience working with children (either teaching or tutoring experience is a requirement). Applicants must have a valid police check.
