Homes are selling quicker than new ones are coming to market, encouraging competition among buyers. Inventory levels haven't been this low since 2006 so new listings are going to attract a lot of attention and get top dollar prices. It remains a great time to sell! For Sellers The market was pretty hot in September. Sales prices were up again while the rate of sales were 50.9% quicker than the previous year. At this rate the available inventory shrank as new listings can't keep up the pace. Sellers continue to have the upper hand as inventory levels decreased.
