Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) at Nitobe Memorial Garden Admission House. Beautiful!
#FOGStories: Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging. Historically, Nitobe Memorial Garden's Teahouse arrangements were made by the urasenke (tea ceremony) group, but Friend of UBC Botanical Garden (FOG) Linda is now aiming to make a weekly arrangement to display by the Admission House. Check out this week's beautiful arrangement! Make sure to view it in person on your next visit to Nitobe Garden. Book your visit: http://ow.ly/qUbM50EEOOt

Mental health may look and feel different for each of us, but we all benefit from exploring ways to foster it. Visiting gardens when you need to take a break is one way to relax, reenergize and find new perspectives. Learn about, talk about and explore ways to support your mental health during UBC Wellbeing's Thrive this month. http://ow.ly/xFfA50BZYCS #LetsThriveUBC #UBCThrive #mentalhealthliteracy
