On the other hand, renewable energy resources are intermittent in nature. Therefore, effective and efficient storage media are required for more effective utilization of such renewable resources. Due to the infrastructural changes required by the hydrogen economy, there is a strong need to switch to another potential solution, such as ammonia, which has already been used as a refrigerant in many refrigeration systems and a working fluid in many energy systems, including the power generation cycles, namely organic Rankine cycles and Kalina cycles. The utilization from ammonia can further be enhanced by considering it as a fuel and hydrogen storage medium.
