Got our gables framed up and and the back half of the roof sheeted on both sides. Had I know I had to build them I would have done it differently. To everyone out there who hand cuts there roofs respect

Fought with the wind a bit today but got all of these big suckers up!

If you’ve never installed a joist in the center of a drain. You haven’t been framing that long and also you’re a liar and your pant are probably on fire. It’s really not that difficult of a fix. Pull all of the nails and screws in the joist. Use shims to break the joist free from the sheeting. ... Move the joist over and glue both sides of the joist as best as you can using the shims to help get the glue between the two. Screw and install all nails and screws pulled. Well nothing like building a custom house more challenging . Don’t worry nothing we haven’t dealt with before. Have everything squared up and straighten up on no time!

As the push to get all of our current projects wrapped up before the Christmas break. We figured why not try and fit in getting this floor in this huge bungalow!

Made some good progress today. Was a slow week last week. I was by myself for most of the week as we were short handed. Forgot how much work a bi-level is when you don’t have a zoom.

Man do I have some great employees! I’m currently having to self isolate so I can’t be on site and when talking with @dillonbruynooghe he told be they’d have all the exteriors up by the end of the day. Based on where they were at it should have been no problem but a few mistakes were made and instead of rolling up at 5 they pushed through fixed the mistakes and got everything up for the weekend!

A year ago we finished up this massive addition to this very cool house by the river! Had an elevator and a pool in it. Both were things I’ve never came across in a house before! Happy Sunday all!

The piles on this deck have heaved and now water runs back towards the house. So we have some temporary supports set up so the pile caps can be cut down then we will lower the deck down and and it will slope away from the house like it’s supposed to

C’’mon man!! Just try and work together. Nothing is more frustrating when the trade before you does something they know will just waste your time later

Saw a different way to frame a valley and thought I’d give it a try. Super easy and quick. Thanks for the tip @hinschberger_carpentry
