Huge THANK YOU to the Hwy 105 Tourism & Marketing Board for securing funding that was used towards Entertainment at this year’s Norseman Festival!
Results from 2019 Norseman Days Dog Dock Diving Challenge. This year’s event went very well. We had a total of 11 dogs jumping as well a surprise guest.... All dogs did great and provided some good entertainment. A thanks to Donny at Red Lake Marine for the use of their docks for the event. As well, thanks to Tia of Lucky Mutts for volunteering as photographer and documenting the dogs distances. Dogs were allowed three jumps and score was based on furthest of the three. Results were: Prize 1: Furthest jump at 19 feet was Chips (handler Casey) Prize 2: at 15 feet was Ellie (handler Donna) Prize 3: at 13.5 feet was Moose (handler Morgan) Most entertaining jump: Gibson (handler Laureen) Best effort jump: Ozzie (handler Savana). Thanks to Savana a volunteer from the crowd for jumping Oz. The last team of the day was a special/surprise guest. Rim and handler Taylor Sobchuk. This team was the Canadian Xtreme Air Dogs Champions and currently have an average jump of 26.8 feet!! The team jumped for fun with a distance of 23 feet. It appears the Red Lake challenge needs to get a longer measuring device off the end of the dock.
