A huge thanks to Jump.ca in Estevan for getting my phone up and running! That means my debit machine is backup and running as well! I can’t wait to see all you happy shoppers today!
So I had an oops with my phone and dropped it in water! Until I can get it dried out and working I’m with out my business lifeline. Unfortunately that means no internet connection in the greenhouse which means no debit or credit cards accepted until it’s back up running. Please bring cash when coming out today. Also, please contact me through messenger. I will run up to the house to check it periodically so I don’t miss any questions.
Mother’s Day giveaway winner is Colette Thomas! Thank you everybody for coming out to our greenhouse! We had an awesome day! Thanks to Elephant Ear Emporium for coming and serving delicious food! Thank you to Estevan Trophy & Engraving and Dee’s Balls for contributing to our Mother’s Day give away!

From our family to you we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
Here’s an interesting article on fall tree care for winter preparation. It was a good reminder for me to give a good deep soak to my shelter belt trees.
Getting ready for 2021 greenhouse season! The trailer and truck are full of supplies and I am thankful for this husband of mine to take time to help me haul it all home. PS. He looks grumpy but he really isn’t!

2020 seems to be ther year everyone is having problems some where in their garden. Mine was the wind destroying my flower pots this spring. The problem I am hearing the most from fellow gardeners is there carrots not growing or growing improperly. So I thought I should do some research on what causes their growth to stunt and fork. The top three causes are high nitrogen from rich fertilizers, compact soil with rocks, and insect damage to the roots when they are young. Here i...s a great article I found on this and other tips to growing great carrots http://www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/cultivation.html. It’s from the Carrot Museum in the UK (who knew there was a whole museum dedicated to carrots). I like to stick to articles from Canada but this one had all the same information and I liked how they laid out a variety of information on what to grow or your garden space, the causes of abnormalities in carrots and what to change to prevent it from happening. It can be very frustrating to have garden mishaps when you put a lot of time and effort. Just remember to enjoy the good, learn from the bad and let go of the problems that are out of your control (wildlife, hordes of insects, bad seed lots, etc.)

Canning season is upon us and this pitcher full of dill made my truck smell like dill pickles mom and I always make. Here’s hoping your canning season goes well!
It has been so long since I have posted anything! Now that I am finally done going in circles with baler I can finally focus on other things. I am grateful that customers continued to send me in photos of their flowers and kind words of how much they love them! It brightened my days to look at them while I was waiting for the baler to pop out the next bale.
After being on the tractor baling for days I finally headed out to check on my other passion which is our cows. They were all content hanging out in the shade of trees of one pasture and down by the dugout in the other. I had a few sneek up behind me while I was looking at some native plants. I am hoping to announce a contest and some give aways as soon as we are done our custom haying!
I am blown away by the photos and stories I have gotten the last couple of days of people in love with their plants from us. I always ask if I can share what they send me. I truly love what I do and when hear One plant fills the pot, This is my new favorite plant and This is the sturdiest plant and biggest tomatoes I have ever grown it makes the sleepless nights and long days worth it. It keeps me excited for next years expansion, projects and new products. I can never say it enough, thank you for supporting our family’s business!
I was so happy to hear from a customer and how much they were loving the flowers they had me arrange for them! It makes me excited for next years plans!
Happy Canada Day! I hope you all had a wonderful day! I spent it with friends walking the pasture identify native plants and came home to have fun with the family. It’s been a good day enjoying this great country of ours!
This restaurant was my go to for suppers during our busy greenhouse season, plus their family has supported my greenhouse from day one. This legacy project is great for the community. Please go support this project and great local business.
I am so glad to hear when customers are enjoying their flowers!
I have an order in with the nursery for shrubs. Is anyone looking for some trees and shrubs before I close it. Please let me know by 3 today if you are.I have an order in with the nursery for shrubs. I love these Mandeville petunias this year! The blossoms are huge and the cream colored pattern in the centers add a little bit of flair over the traditional petunia. The red mixed with yellow Ballad sunflower in this royal blue pot are the perfect combination for me.
I for those of you that had asked me about certain tomato varieties, my friend Sandie has beautiful plants and varieties available. Check out her page at Quennelle Greenhouse.
We are sold out for the season! Thank you everyone for shopping local with us. It’s been a pleasure serving you this greenhouse season. This season you all have given me great ideas for expansion next year. I may need to hiring staff so I can get a bit more sleep. Lol! Thanks again for your support and we will see you next greenhouse season!
