Had a very productive weekend on this fun little project with one of our most senior staff, Sam Vallee from the North Bound team. For this project we overhauled two existing decks that had settled unevenly creating tripping hazards for the homeowners. We also added another 350 square feet of deck to the existing ones. For this project we are building 10" wide cone tie concrete retaining walls with washed aggregate pathways. Will post updated photos as the project progresses and the ground thaws.

All that's left is for the main home is painting the remaining white surfaces black and we're all done on the outside! Maybe a quick exterior wash to get the Whistlebend sand/dust off too...

We are very pleased with how Morgan, North Bound's Journeyman Cabinetmaker did with his most recent custom built bedroom closets for one of our Sybil Circle home builds. White cabinets, stainless steel hanging rod hardware, and Black Walnut cabinet drawers with soft close hardware and Black Walnut accent trim. Everything has turned out great and ties in beautifully with the engineered hardwood flooring.

Final touches are done on the inside of the home and the custom closets, 15' long black walnut island countertop, and the architectural grade cedar siding are coming together nicely.

This was an exciting project for early 2019 which involved converting a kitchenette and some office spaces above the Miner's Daughter Restaurant and Bar into a small food and cocktail lounge venue with a very unique look and feel. This was a very challenging and rewarding building project which presented a number of challenges for our team, but the end result is a very cozy and comfortable space for guests to enjoy some custom drinks or some of the unique features offered on the food menu out of the new kitchen that was installed for these clients.

This project consisted of taking the original home exterior finishes, stripping the house down to original sheathing on walls and roof, installing a new WRB, 4" of EPS foam (adding an R20 thermal bridge reducing envelope to the exterior of the home), extending all mechanical and electrical connections, structurally upgrading oil tank pad, installing seismic restraint devices on the tank, installing strapping and custom fabricated flashings, and the installing a combination of... Allura Sterling Grey cement board siding and with black and charcoal Diamond Profile 26 gauge steel products from Westman Steel. Client also wanted to add a large multi-level deck at the back to help take advantage of their large rear yard so they could entertain any number of guests on this very robust and beautiful deck. This was another great project with great clients who are very satisfied with not only the beautiful new facade on their home but also the noticeable improvements in their homes energy efficiency and the incredible increase in the overall stability of the houses temperature through hot and cold spells. The team has been doing an amazing job at our build project located at 124 Sybil Circle over the past couple months. We're very excited to be starting our 764 square foot garden suite project located at the rear of the property next week. This home and the garden suite will be finished in black corrugated steel and the contrast of architectural grade clear cedar T&G siding that we have imported from Surrey, BC.
