In God’s dealings with Egypt and Israel, we see the justice and the mercy of God on display. He compromised in neither because He is perfect in character. But this was only the shadow of the ultimate moment when both the justice and the mercy of God were put forth. At the cross, we see the apex of Gods character as He delivered the just punishment for sin and exercised His incredible mercy at the same time.
