Dear Northfield Dental Clinic Patients: Here at the Northfield Dental Clinic the safety of our patients, staff and community is our first priority. We are all closely monitoring the Covid-19 crisis daily and sometimes hourly. We want to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in our community. Once we re-open we will be taking the following steps: 1. Prior to an appointment, we will inquire as to your health history and any recent travel. Have you been out of the country in the l...ast 14 days? Have you come into contact with someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 or is suspected of being positive of Covid-19? If so we will be rescheduling your appointment. 2. We will be asking if you have any flu-like symptoms, such as shortness of breath, fever, dry cough, or body ache. If so we will ask you to reschedule and contact the public health authority as you may be a candidate for Covid-19 testing. 3. We ask that you attend your appointment alone and that persons accompanying you wait in their car or outside the office. Parents of young children and guardians of the elderly are exceptions to this. We are following best practices for social/physical distancing. 4. We will have hand sanitizer available at the front desk when you arrive. We would ask that you use it upon arrival. We also request that you wear a mask into the office(cloth is fine). We will have markers to indicate where to stand. We have installed a plexi-glass barrier in the front office to provide protection from droplets. 5. Our clinic has always maintained the highest level of sterilization and disinfection. There is no place cleaner than a dental office. We have increased the regularity of our disinfection, and will include more frequent sanitization of the common spaces like the waiting room and restrooms. We will also be taking additional measures to ensure the safety of our operatories. 6. We will refrain from shaking hands with patients, thank you for your understanding. 7. We would like to encourage our patients to wash your hands regularly for twenty seconds. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the office. Refrain from touching your face, nose and eyes. If you are feeling ill or have come into contact with someone you suspect is Covid-19 positive please contact the Public Health Authority. Thanks for reading, and we look forward to being able to see our patients very soon. Stay safe! Drs Booker, Cooper and the Northfield Dental Clinic Team.
