FREE training opportunity for your athletes brought to you by the Cobourg Dragon Boat & Canoe Club The Cobourg Dragon Boat and Canoe Club (CDBCC) is here to help train your athletes during this COVID sports season with a Cross Training/ Team Bonding program! They want to help your athletes come together and get active in a socially distant way in the great outdoors! This is an incredible opportunity to encourage your athlete’s development of physical literacy! The more skill...s they have, the better all-around athlete they will be! CDBCC understands that many sports teams are unable to run in accordance with guidelines set by the Ontario government, and they have come up with a program that promotes team cohesion and bonding while cross-training for your specific sport all while following COVID-19 regulations. What will each session look like? Each 1.5hr session would include: 45 min Warm-up/ on land training (boot camp style) -Engage different muscle groups to build sport-specific strength -Get the kids back in the flow of organized sports/ regular training routine -How to paddle instructions from 2 certified coaches 45 minutes to an hour on the water and in the boats -Including races, games, and other fun activities to give kids a tough workout while having a good time! When: There are 4 different time slots available; Monday/Wednesday from 2:30-4:00 or 4:30-6:00 Tuesday/Thursday from 2:30-4:00 or 4:30-6:00. Where: Cobourg Marina (Cobourg Dragon Boat and Canoe Club Compound at the end of Hibernia St) The best part is that the program is being offered for FREE! CDBCC’s only goal is to get kids out and active during these difficult times. Currently, they have a capacity of about 16 kids per session, and are looking for kids around ages 10-16. The kids will be split into two groups of 8 to comply with current COVID guidelines. If you would like some more information or to book your team's time please reach out to Morgan Clapp [email protected] or [email protected]
