Health Care\Office Assistant Location: Thunder Bay, ON Busy health care office, seeking friendly, positive, personable individual that is proficient with technology/computers, has an interest in health and wellness and enjoys working with people.... We are a well-established Multidisciplinary Health Care Centre and we require someone capable and flexible to handle reception duties as well as patient related clinical procedures. If you like a fast paced, team based work environment in the health care field, have the ability to multi-task while still paying attention to details and always maintain a positive attitude this may be the position for you. This is a 25-30 hours/week position, starting immediately, with potential for increased hours and greater responsibilities. Training is to start immediately. Responsibilities: Delivering the highest level of customer service to patients through effective communication both in person and over the phone, confident when welcoming, greeting, assisting patients Managing the scheduling of all practitioner appointments Manage daily cash\debit\credit flow, collect payments, and provide invoices and receipts for payment Manage and facilitate the completion and submission of billing activities to TELUS and HCAI Retention of clients Monitoring cleanliness of work area Acting in a responsible, professional, confidential and ethical manner Opening/Closing Office duties Manage regular on-hand operating supplies, ordering as needed Proof reading and editing consult letters, referral letters and practitioner letters Maintain records-update address, phone number, and other pertinent and required information Collaborating, communicating with and supporting all practitioners Minimum Qualifications: Education: Secondary School (Required) Language: English (Required) Office or Health care Administration experience: 1 year (Preferred) Post-Secondary Education with Office Administration and\or Medical Reception experience considered an asset Medical Terminology considered an asset Candidate should be available to work evenings and to cover holidays as needed. Slow Re-Open We are happy to announce that beginning June 8th, our Chiropractors, Registered Massage Therapist, Kinesiologist and Nutritionist will be starting to slowly return to practice again. We have been busy implementing safety protocols for our staff, health care providers and you, our very valuable patients. We are taking numerous steps to ensure the risk of transmission of COVID-19 is minimal and we are following the recommendations by the local and provincial gove...rnments as well as our regulatory colleges. If you would like to book an appointment or already have an appointment scheduled with one of our practitioners, we have prepared a COVID-19 Patient Information Sheet that we ask you to read before coming in to the clinic. It outlines the protocols you will need to be aware of before coming in for an appointment. Please be aware this is a SLOW re-opening. We are not allowed to operate in the same capacity as we did prior to COVID-19. We are required to minimize the number of people in our space at any one time and as a result we will be staggering appointment times and you may be asked to wait in your vehicle or in the lobby for your appointment. We are doing our best to prioritize patients according to need and those who have had to reschedule their appointments over the last many weeks because of COVID-19. Please be patient with us as we get use to the new procedures and protocols required for us to re-open. Thank you for your understanding. We will also be communicating with you via email and phone to confirm appointments and remind you of the COVID-19 protocols. It would seem the local wildlife also want to participate in the PLANK IT challenge. She nicely demonstrates the inverted, two legged plank position while snacking. Please do not try this at home.
