We want to thank everyone involved with @nothinbutsnow this year, it wasnt quite the ecstatic end of the season we are normally used to but the previous 10 weeks had been amazing. Big White resort blessed us with a ridiculous amount of snow days and our students went from strength to strength each week. Heres one of our snowboarders @sam.letherby giving us a quick roundup of last week. The students had a week of extra courses such as First Aid , Level 1 Avalanche training and also some went snowmobiling in the back country forests. While the others enjoyed making the most of all the fresh powder. @skibigwhite is now sitting with a 310cm snow base and has over 700cm of cumulative snowfall, which is one of the best seasons on record so far ! These guys are living the dream! ...Cant get much better than these conditions and now they head into this week with full on training towards their CASI and CSIA Level 2 certificates. Our students had a fantastic couple of days on the AST (avalanche skills training) Level 1 course last week. As you can see the conditions were perfect for learning about the snow packs and how that changes over time. This course is paramount when heading out in the back country to ski tour or split board and looks great on a CV. Being prepared means having the right tools for self-rescue and here they all are learning to use the transceivers, shovels and probes as well as ho...w to manage potential hazards.
