Hi friends! Just another little intro post comin your way For those of you that are new here, my name is Nyah and you’re super cool for being here. And if you’ve been here for a while, you’re super cool for and thank you for sticking around. A few things you should know about me is that I live for spontaneous adventures, camping, road trips, marvel movies, candles, margaritas, and big bear hugs (and i also have an extensive collection of thrifted wolf shirts and hoodies ...) When it comes to photography, my goal is to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere to be yourself. Every relationship and person is so beautiful and unique, and you deserve to have your story told in a way that is different than anyone else. In 50 years, I want you to look back at your photos and feel all of the emotions that you felt the moment that photo was taken all over again. Over the past few years, I have made so many amazing new connections, and so many memories with strangers who eventually became a fast friend, and I can’t wait to do all that again this year. If you supported me or worked with me in 2020, I’m giving you the biggest air hug, and thanking you so much for helping my business grow so much this year. And for my already booked 2022 clients, I cannot WAIT to make some lifelong memories with you. Crazy to think another year has already come and gone, I swear time just doesn’t exist anymore Right now I’m sitting in my window seat watching it start to snow again, just thinking about how surreal 2021 felt. I had the busiest year of my life, and trying to manage it all was definitely a struggle at times, but I’ve learned so much, and have met some amazing new people and I couldn’t be more grateful. As I gear up for a busy 2022, I just had to come on here and say thank y...ou like a million times to everyone who has supported my business again this year, without you guys I literally would not be able to do what I love most, and I mean it! For those of you that are new to my page, my name is Nyah, and I’m the gal behind (and occasionally in front) the lens, and yes, we are totally friends now. And to those that have been here for a little while longer, thanks for sticking around, you’re the best. This year I’ve spent lots of time driving, exploring all sorts of cool places close to home, finding any sort of adventure anytime I can. I’ve picked up new hobbies, and revisited old hobbies. Spent lots of time with good company, and laughing so hard that my tummy hurts. Also had lots of time to think about how weird it is that I turned 20 and will never ever be an age again that ends with ‘teen’ Had some big ups and some downs, navigating through another unpredictable year is never easy, but here we are. Anywayyy, before I start going off on 80,000 different topics, I’ll end it here with another huge thank you. you guys know me and know much i love a good sunset by the ocean pair that with pizza and some amazing new friends now that’s a pretty solid way end the day if you ask me aidan and lolita were just an absolute dream to photograph, their energy and love for each other just made this session just so effortless and fun. nights like these just make my heart so happy, and make me fall more and more in love with what i get to do for a living YAAA anyway feeling ...#grateful as per usual aidan and lolita, you’re awesome. and that’s all from me tonight

After a year full of changes and adjustments, allow me to reintroduce myself... I’m Nyah! The girl behind the camera . The girl who is also constantly longing for adventure and daydreaming about her next big adventure. Now, let’s talk about 2020 for a second, because man... I sure wasn’t expecting such a rollercoaster of a year . For me, this was truly a year full of constant adjustment, heartache, disappointment, and frustration, and I’m know I’m not alone with that... I ...mean we all had to figure out how to adjust to a totally new way of living! Amongst all the chaos, there was a lot of good and positive things that happened that I have been reflecting on and thinking about a lot lately. I’ve gotten to know myself a lot better, become more confident behind (and in front of!!) the camera too... Even though we can’t see a lot of our loved ones in person, we have amazing technology that we can use to talk to them virtually, and also meet tons of cool new people too. I’ve grown even closer bonds with people I didn’t think it was even possible to know better. Especially these 2 girls in these photos, Maddy and Bria, I seriously don’t know what I would do without you ! But I really want to just say a huge thank you to all of you guys!!! Your love and support has made 2020 the biggest year for my photography and I couldn’t have done it without you guys. I can’t wait to see where next year takes me. And I am so looking forward to all my shoots so far in 2021!!! Ok... What about you? What did you learn in 2020? I really wanna know!!

Ok here’s another super random thought to get your brain thinking The other day I was scrolling through Pinterest... and saw a post that asked the most random question that I had never thought of before, so I thought it would be fun to ask you guys on a beautiful Monday like today...... If you could make one thing that is inedible, edible, what would it be and why? I had to think about this one for a bit because I feel like there are far too many things that I would pick. But, I feel like it’s only a given that I’d pick candles bahahahahah they just smell too good and yeah that’s all I just love them. Anyways! So I totally got sun burnt and I’m totally not mad about it We were so spoiled with the the weather yesterday. Hear me out you guys. I know I’m not the only one who gets those odd car thoughts or super random Why or What if’s while driving alone (especially at night ).... So I thought I’d write down a few to share (even though they are so ridiculous bahahah) I figure you guys could laugh with me at these: Why does time go so fast when you need it to slow down... then when you need it to slow down it goes by fast?... What even are teeth? The song I’m listening to right now could be someone’s least favourite song ever. I really wanna go jump into that lake right now. How does gas make my car go? And who decided that gas was gonna make my car go? We. Are. So. Small. Compared. To. Everything. On. This. Earth. - Those are just a few of the many things that cross my mind daily let me know if you’re a big thinker or an odd thinker like I am (please reassure me I’m not the only one) What are some of your wild or random thoughts?

WHAT IS YOUR ESCAPE? Well of course I like to do a lot of things. Such as going outside and just breathing in that fresh Vancouver Island air... But one of my other favourite ways to escape from the stress of reality is just taking one hour out of my day and going to the GYM. I absolutely love love loooooove weight lifting and strength training, it’s such an amazing ‘pick me up’ after a long days work at the office . I walk in, turn on my music, and just do my thinggg . Se...riously, some days I’ll just feel so moody and gloomy, then i’ll get unmotivated and wanna just crawl in bed and sleep for the next 5 years... but then I just go anyways, and I swear there isn’t a time where i don’t feel 10 times better than when I walked in there! It’s hard work, but oh man does it feel good (I also just love the feeling of sore recovering muscles.... anyone else? ).
